My Heart Is Full

Welcome Christmas!

What a wonderful Christmas we have had so far for 2010!  And what makes it so much more special is the MEANING for our celebration:  the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior.  What an amazing gift God gave us in His perfect Son.  I am so thankful. Red heart

Our celebrating started last night with the gathering of family at my mom and dad’s house.  With parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, it was a great Christmas Eve.  The tradition I love the most is one that goes way back to when I was a little girl: After dinner, and BEFORE presents, one of the kids reads The Christmas Story to everybody.  I distinctly remember reading the Christmas Story when I was a little girl at my Granny and Paw-paw’s house…and now my kids are reading it.  Last night Zachary did the honors,

Another cool moment happened when my Aunt handed out t-shirts that she had purchased for all the girls in the family in support of breast cancer awareness!  Check out this support team!!  Yeah, they are the best. Smile

Luckily, my sisters and I managed to take a good pic as did Jack and I, but as for the others, well…it just wasn’t in the cards. Winking smile  Here’s some of the best from the evening:

It was a great evening!  Surrounded by great family, great food, and making great memories is the best way to spend Christmas Eve.
