First Game of the Season

We went to our first Cardinals game of the 2011 season on Wednesday!!!  We have great friends with season tickets and they were so kind to ask us if we’d like to use them…um YEAH!  No, we didn’t even have to think about that one!

It was a loss for our Cards, but the game went into extra innings – which the boys referred to as “free baseball” – well, not quite.  But it was a great game, the only downside being that after the game was finally over, after a delay during the 11th inning due to a power failure, we had to drive home.  Boo.  And you remember that we live 2 1/2 – 3 hours from STL.  Jack was chugging Red Bull and I was thinking of everything I could to talk about to keep us both awake until we arrived home just after 2am.

Notice, to stay awake: Jack=energy drinks, Me=talking.  Oh well, regardless we made it safe and sound exhausted from a great day filled with great memories!

Here’s hoping we get to get to go to more Cardinals games this season!  We LOVE it!  It is our favorite family thing to do together!!
