Leave Your Mark

It is not the size of the footprints, but rather the impression they leave…

After going for a run on my parents’ treadmill this morning, I walked outside on the porch to cool off.  I was about to walk around the side of the porch when I glanced down and stopped mid-step.  As I looked closer, I saw the most tiny and beautiful thing.  A bird’s footprints.

I don’t know why it caught my eye, nor why it touched my heart…but indeed it did.  One of God’s smallest creatures had left his or her mark.

It serves as an important life lesson, I think.  We can all make our mark.  No matter how small we may be, or how small the mark may be…someone will stop and notice, and appreciate it.

How will you leave your mark today?

I LOVE this post!!! My friend is teaching a Bible study called the Fingerprints of God (only she's Dutch so the way she says "God" is way cool). Anyways, she was talking about how all of creation happened by the spoken word of God except man. When man was created, God touched him. Left His fingerprints on Him. We just have to be reminded of the parts of us that exist because of the fingerprints of God. I love that.
What does that have to do with pictures of a bird's foot? I have no idea but I wanted to share anyways!
Love you!
